Your new roleThe Test Manager ensures effective and compliant testing practices across all projects and corporate IT deliveries. This role establishes structured test processes, supports solution quality through strategic and hands-on management, and aligns testing activities with regulatory (e.g., GxP) and best practice standards. By enabling agile, self-directed teams and ensuring proper validation of requirements, the Test Manager plays a key role in successful solution delivery. Testing is embedded through standardized ITIL4 Service Validation & Test (SV&T) practices, making it a critical component of the Software Development & Management framework.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate test planning and execution activities across projects, teams and initiatives.
- Define, implement, and continuously reinforce the adoption of best practices of ITIL4 Service Validation & Test (SV&T) within the entire corporate IT area.
- Act as practice lead for the SV&T practice, ensuring consistent application of methods and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the development and adoption of standardized templates, tools, and guidelines for testing across the organization through the SV&T practice.
- Support teams in the development and execution of requirement-based test scenarios and scripts.
- Ensure alignment of testing practices with regulatory requirements, including GxP-compliant testing and documentation.
- Serve as Test Manager or Test Coordinator on strategic projects, providing guidance on test strategy, planning, and reporting.
- Collaborate with users, solution architects, business analysts, and project managers to ensure end-to-end traceability between requirements and testing.
- Ensure monitoring and reporting on test progress, issues, and risks to project and line stakeholders.
- Promote awareness and understanding of test principles, automation opportunities, and quality assurance across IT and business teams.
What you39ll need to succeed
- Solid experience in test management and coordination within complex IT project environments
- Strong understanding of software development and solution architecture principles
- In-depth knowledge of GxP regulations and validation requirements in the pharmaceutical or life science industry
- Familiarity with requirement management and traceability tools and frameworks, particularly ITIL4 Service Validation & Test and the V-Model
- Skilled in developing and implementing test strategies, test plans, and reporting structures
- Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives
- Experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies
- Preferable experience within the life science and pharmaceutical industry
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus
