The major responsibilities of the Intrastat specialist are:
- Supply inbound and outbound data to local statistical authorities in the agreed format and time. For all VAT-Registrations in the corresponding country/countries
- Ensure the completeness of the declaration, by getting from business unit representatives all relevant information on the physical flows of goods
- Ensure that information is added manually on a regular base, where it is not automatically supported by a system
- Ensure that statistical reporting complies with all relevant legal requirements.
- Interface with local authorities to ensure that all files conform to the authority's system architecture
- Ensure the correctness of the declaration, by running all kinds of control checks and using whatever reconciliation tools may be found necessary
- Maintain documentation for archiving, as well as copies of information supplied to Customs/Statistical
- Answer the queries from your authorities
Requrements:
- Ability to identify process improvements
- Fluent English communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative
- PC and Microsoft Office tools knowledge
- Organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Good judgment skills
- Background in business administration
- Ability to recognize problems and direct them to the appropriate person
- Ability to work under time pressure and "stressful" conditions
- Ability to effectively interact with people at all levels and across a worldwide geography
