Transaction Monitoring Senior Specialist

We support one of the biggest international banking brands in establishing a new footprint for the 1st Line Financial Crime Risk & Control organisation in Warsaw.

The Core Transaction Monitoring Controls Team forms part of 1st Line Financial Crime Transformation, Risk & Control function, and is responsible for advising on and ensuring appropriate controls are identified, implemented and maintained to manage the banks evolving financial crime risk landscape.
Main duties:
- Driving the requirement and design of the control and process mechanisms necessary to promote the efficient and effective transaction monitoring of applicable risks across the banks products, services and customers
- Ensuring the banks transaction monitoring risks are understood and translated into control and process requirements to support implementation and ongoing monitoring activities
- Supporting transformation and operational teams in the implementation, calibration and operationalization of the end-to-end transaction monitoring ecosystem
We are looking for the candidates who:
- Are experienced in implementing, enhancing or operating transaction monitoring systems
- Have some experience in the following: European or US Regulatory environments; Retail, wealth or corporate and institutional banking products and services; Risk assessment and red-flag identification
- Enjoy building an inclusive culture in alignment
- Are flexible and appreciative of the challenges associated with working in a global organization such as culture and time zone
- Hold a relevant bachelors or masters degree. (Professional certification such as CAMS or ICA highly desirable.)
- Are fluent in English
