Teradata Database Specialist

At the moment we are looking for:

- Providing senior level Teradata DBA input into new and existing project initiatives
- The installation, operation and maintenance of databases, database management systems and platforms
- Interacts with the IT-Support and/or the Infrastructure, Network, Operation Analysts and Developers to optimize operation stability and platform performance
- Contribute to multiple initiatives and facilitate making decisions to solve complex technical problems while working under time pressure
- Performing Teradata capacity planning including allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements
- Work closely with internal & external auditors to fulfil key security compliance requirements
- Teradata System Database Administration and implementation (4+ years)
- In-depth knowledge of Teradata Active System Management with SLES 11
- Work experience with System Utilities (DBS Control, Ferret, Check-Table, Show Locks, and Scandisk utilities)
- ITIL way of working in production support environment
- Programing and UNIX scripting experience
- Knowledge of technologies around ETL, modelling, SQL, Data Attribute mapping, Teradata, UNIX, Linux and Data Stage
- Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Good command of English
