For our Client, one of the leading key players in FMCG industry, we are looking for experienced, motivated and engaged Candidate for the position of Tax and Treasury Director.
We are looking for a Tax and Treasury Director who will be responsible for managing and being the centre of expertise for tax and treasury activities of the In Country Tax and Treasury Center team in Poland. The purpose of the role is to ensure fulfillment of tax and treasury obligations in compliance with the internal and external requirements and strategic partnership with the business, providing tax support and strong advisory. As a Tax and Treasury Director you will lead the team of 6 direct reports and manage all the tax and treasury related matters for the 3 Polish entities. You will be also single point of contact for Global Treasury and Global Tax teams as well as the main contact point for the Polish tax authorities and other external parties. Your scope of duties will include leading the centre of expertise for Polish units on Treasury, Corporate Tax, VAT and statutory financial accounting, managing and coordinate the in-house tax position in collaboration with Regional and Global Tax teams as well as local advisors and local tax authorities. You will be also dedicated to leading and managing annual statutory audits and local tax audits. The role will demand from you keeping up to date with developments in Polish tax regulations and VAT legislation as well as acting on relevant changes in legislation. It will be necessary to communicate developments and their impact, ensure appropriate business response, control and manage financing position to enable company to meet its strategic objectives and tax efficient cash repatriation. Person on this position will also drive the treasury and tax functional agenda to implement appropriate treasury and tax policies and procedures ensuring good governance and controls.
We need you to have the university degree (preferably in finance, law or related), at least from 8 to 10 years’ experience in financial accounting, treasury, corporation tax and VAT as well as fluent English. Candidates with Big4 experience only (tax advisory) are also taken into consideration. Additional formal tax qualification (e.g. tax advisor) is definite advantage. The ideal Candidate will need to be able to learn and understand complex technical issues quickly and have strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships and communicate with associates at all levels across the business. It will be crucial for you to combine tax functional knowledge and business acumen to form the proper perspective in navigating complex challenges. We need you to possess high managerial skills, especially the ability to build effective teams and develop direct reports, and to feel comfortable around higher management. We need you also to be independent, enthusiastic, informal, perseverant and a self-starter.
