Senior Manager - Finance

For our client, a corporation in the banking industry, we are looking for a candidate to take on the role of Senior Manager - Finance. 

The person who joins the company as Senior Manager - Finance will be very much a decision maker and will become part of the Senior Management Team. This is a role related to leading the overall financial processes within the organisation and initiating improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

• Being responsible for creating a company’s global financial strategy.
• Performing the month end close process and working with Business Finance.
• Leading the organization’s financial function and performance through planning, development, organisation, and continuous improvement
• Financial and regulatory reporting to company as required.
• Being responsible for establishing and executing the department’s KPIs
• Preparing financial forecasts and budgets
• Work on projects to automate and streamline areas of the month-end process.
• Ensuring effective communication channels are established and maintained through regular dialogue with stakeholders (Product Control, Tax, Market Risk and other support functions).
• Creating process improvement initiatives
• Cooperation with other company’s departments (e.g. Treasury, Law, Audit)

Requirements:

• Knowledge of US GAAP and Polish GAAP, IFRS, SOX
• min. 6 years of experience in finance industry (preferred in GBS/SSC)
• Professional knowledge of English
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Experience in people management will be a plus.
