Application Evolution Services team: work requires constant monitoring of application performance and real-time response. Improve existing products and introduce new functionalities
The SAP BASIS & Cross Application Specialist will support authorization management activities, including configuring user roles and profiles to ensure secure and compliant SAP environments. - Develop and enforce security policies, regularly updating authorization structures to prevent unauthorized access and protect data integrity- Work with SAP teams to integrate security measures between applications, resolve authorization issues and conduct regular security audits- Provide second and third line support to address and resolve requests related to core and authorization modules and customer-specific solutions- Perform detailed problem analysis to accurately diagnose problems, understand root causes and configure SAP systems to develop effective solutions- Design and enhance SAP security roles to meet business requirements- GRC system administration- Work with first level support and other IT teams to ensure timely resolution of issues- Foster strong customer relationships by resolving support topics quickly and efficiently- Regularly analyze and report on ticket trends in assigned area to identify recurring issues and potential improvements- Lead and execute smaller projects and system changes tailored to specific customer needs and requirements- Maintain comprehensive documentation of support issues, solutions and project changes to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing
Profile- Bachelor39s degree in computer science, business administration or related field- Strong knowledge of SAP Basis and BC-SEC modules, including experience with configuring user roles and profiles and managing authorization objects- Experience in developing and implementing SAP security policies and procedures with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.- Ability to effectively resolve authorization issues, ensuring minimal disruption to SAP operations- Communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and conduct user training sessions on SAP security practices.- Ability to conduct security audits, analyze authorization structures and recommend improvements to protect the SAP environment.- Experience in troubleshooting system problems and conducting user training sessions to increase SAP adoption- Strong analytical skills to diagnose problems and develop effective solutions to complex issues- Ability to maintain and strengthen customer relationships through effective communication and support- Knowledge of ticket management systems to effectively track and manage requests- Understanding of project management principles to effectively manage small projects and changes- Communication skills to interact with team members and customers, both verbally and in writing.- Willingness to stay abreast of the latest SAP developments and adapt to new tools and technologies- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities- SAP certifications in relevant modules (preferred)- Understanding of ITIL principles and overall managed services process- Knowledge of German language will be an added advantage.
