- review the product specification and user stories and translate them into a test plan and comprehensive suite of test cases
- carry out test runs
- set out comprehensive notes and communicate the findings to the development team and project manager
- perform retests until the product is error free and ready for deployment, communicate the findings to the Product Manager and Project Manager
- carry out regression tests to ensure scheduled deployments will not impact existing functionality
- perform random testing to ensure the product remains error free
- report any bugs discovered to the Product Manager
- review areas for test automation and recommend solutions
- must be adept at learning new products quickly
- experience in translating requirements into test cases is essential
- must be a strong communicator with excellent documentation skills
- must have the ability to work at speed, with a high volume of test suites to prepare and test run to perform
- must be meticulous and have a proven track record of delivering 100% assured software products
