Responsibilities
- Lead the ESSA Marketing Services Hub, providing management to a 10 + member team
- Provide management of Digital assets (Asset Management) to facilitate optimization of Digital assets across ESSA
- Lead processes for output adherence and delivery to agreed scope – in line with the agreed timelines, aligned templates and content management
- Foster an environment of collaboration across the hubs, the BU category organization and the category leadership by working with key stakeholders
- Support the A&M agenda for ESSA – manage the set up, authorisation of all Marketing POs in ESSA on instruction from Markeing budget owners and handover to Control for payment
- Develop and maintain preferred supplier lists approved by the category leads and updated annually; socialize the use of the list by brand teams & track adherence
- Support brand teams in agency negotiations & Ensure all commercial agreements with agencies have clear Scope of Work polupated in the prescribed SS NWA&M policy
- Partner with brand teams & legal to lead contracts with agency partners – ensure performance management KPIs are embedded into the agency contract and linked to agency compensation
- Partner with brand marketing and finance teams in the tracking & reporting of working / non-working A&M in achieving set % working A&M targets
- Drive increased visibility for A&M (PEP, STB, Unilateral, Co-op, JV, etc.), parts of which are not currently captured by financial A&M reports
- Lead comprehensive change management with category leads and BU category teams, facilitating complete integration of the Marketing Services Hub into the category and BU agenda
- Strong leadership and people development capabilities
- Highly collaborative – works well with others, including Marketing services teams, internal marketing stakeholders and external suppliers, to deliver results
- Highly organized and responsive, with the ability to deliver tight SLA deadlines
- Familiarity with the agency-marketer landscape
- High integrity – won’t compromise on values to get results
Key skills
- Minimum 8 years experience in marketing procurement or 6 years of agency finance experience in a mainline agency in the market, ideally within the Digital space
- Significant experience with agency negotiations either at the agency end or at a marketer is mandatory
- Experience using best-in-class sourcing strategies for marketing spends specifically supplier evaluation, selection, performance reporting, contract negotiations, price inflation management & savings metrics is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English
