Lab Support in Lab Engineering Services

Scope of work: The main purpose of the test bed engineer is to ensure the availability and performance of the test bed for internal and customer usage. Test bed engineer is responsible for keeping the test bed fully operational including updated hardware and software versions as well as managing the day to day reservation and orders by internal and external customers.
Key task of the job:
1. Planning and implementing extensions and upgrades as well as installation of new products.
2. Cooperating with other team members to ensure proper integration of test bed equipment.
3. Managing an equipment database containing test bed items, tools and test equipment.
4. Managing reservations using the reservation tools.
5. Supporting internal and external customers during reservation periods.
6. May lead small technical teams assigned to perform testbed activities.
7. Participate in preparing budget proposal for test bed - extensions, hardware upgrades, new equipment.

Requirements:
1. Good knowledge of telecom infrastructure
2. Knowledge of OSS systems (experience with Nokia OSS is beneficial).
3. Good Linux command line skills
4. Good networking skills (IP, switching, routing)
5. Good communication skills, including English (written and spoken).
6. Willing to learn
7. Experience in cloud infrastructure would be beneficial
8. Scripting skills would be beneficial
