The Team is responsible for digitizing the entire process, automating it, and significantly accelerating in the area of customer responsiveness. As Lead Software Engineer, you will develop software and lead and support a team of developers.
Working closely with the Domain Lead, Principal Engineer and Architect, you will help shape the design and implementation approach for several change initiatives, as well as influence good engineering practices.

On daily basis you will:
- Design, production, testing and implementation of working code
- Works across the lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations
- Leading and supporting a team of programmers
- Works alongside Principal Engineers, architects in the domain and other key stakeholders to understand how the Platform works and how it supports business objectives
- Improves performance continually through the ongoing evaluation and analysis of metrics
- The application of agile methods to the development of software
- Deploys code continually and rapidly, working through a backlog
- The production of resilient and long-lived software
- Line management and escalation focal point for the engineering capability.
The skills you will need:
- 5+ experience in Java based projects (Spring Boot and Spring frameworks) based on microservices.
- Proficient knowledge of RDBMS and No-SQL databases.
- 3+ experience using agile development practices, continuous integration and test automation (TDD, BDD, Selenium).
- 2+ experience in API design, service development (Web Services, RESTful services), enterprise integration patterns and messaging technologies (JMS, MQ or similar).
- 2+ experience with the entire software development lifecycle, from inception to build to production - knows the impact of software and system design decisions on management, support and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to get projects off the ground and be able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary, internal and external distributed teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- High level understanding of front-end development techniques and technologies
