Your new roleThe IT Change Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management and continuous improvement of the IT Change Management process across the organization. The role ensures that all IT changes are efficiently and effectively managed to minimize risk and impact to business operations, while maximising service quality and process maturity.
The Change Manager acts as the Process Owner, setting the strategic direction and governance for IT Change Management, and fostering a culture of process adherence, operational stability, and continual service improvement.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Own the design, implementation, governance, and maintenance of the IT Change Management process (E2E).
- Act as Process Owner and authority on all matters related to IT Change Management.
- Lead the ongoing improvement of the change process based on performance data, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices.
- Ensure effective communication and training programs related to IT Change Management are developed and maintained.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and awareness across IT and business units to ensure understanding of and compliance with the change process.
- Monitor, report, and analyze change process performance and KPIs, providing transparency to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other ITIL process owners (e.g., Incident, Problem, Release) to ensure seamless service integration and reduce operational risk.
- Coordinate and lead the IT Change Advisory Board (CAB) and ensure timely evaluation and decision-making for significant changes.
- Act as escalation point for change-related issues and ensure root cause analysis and preventive actions are implemented.
- Support audit and compliance efforts related to change controls and documentation standards.
What you will need to succeed:
- Deep understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, particularly ITIL, with a focus on IT Change Management.
- Experience in designing and operating enterprise-level IT Change Management processes, ideally within regulated industries
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and act on performance metrics and trend data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional change initiatives in complex IT environments.
- Experience working with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow) to support process automation, workflow, and reporting.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to pharmaceutical IT environments
- Change leadership mindset with a continuous improvement approach and a structured, process-driven work style.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
