Your new role
The Lead Specialist - will be responsible for ensuring the indirect tax content of a number of worldwide jurisdictions is maintained and up to date. They will lead a growing team in Poland bringing technical expertise and practical experience of submitting indirect tax returns and ensuring legislative compliance within their organization. They will be a key member of a worldwide tax content development team which updates the tax rules and forms for over 50 countries.
The successful candidate will have practical working knowledge of indirect tax compliance in a number of jurisdictions and will have worked in a management level role in an indirect tax team. They will have a strong tax technical background in indirect tax and a strong understanding of the processes involved in producing and submitting indirect tax returns. They will have strong analytical skills and a keen interest in developing their career in the tax software industry

Product:
- Monitoring and researching the indirect tax compliance rules, forms and regulations for a number of worldwide jurisdictions
- Working with the tax content development team implement changes to VAT rules in ONESOURCE Indirect Compliance
- Review and test changes in the software
- Develop the growing team in Poland to ensure they are an effective team responsible for both VAT research and the implementation of the requirements in the software
- Provide recommendations on a wide variety of indirect tax issues and communicate them in an understandable manner to non-tax professionals
- Ensure that all client queries are responded to in line with service level agreements
- Drive innovation within the team
Team:
- Develop the growing team in Poland to ensure they are an effective team responsible for both VAT research and the implementation of the requirements in the software
- Provide tax technical and process information to the team to ensure the software meets client needs
- Work closely with a worldwide team of tax content developers
What you'll need to succeed
- Expertise in indirect tax compliance and practical experience with preparation and filing of tax returns
- Knowledge of indirect tax legislation and regulations in one or more countries
- Strong tax research skills
- Ability to quickly identify customer needs and provide suitable solutions.
- Proven communication skills, writing skills and the ability to write articles on tax topics for internal or external publications.
- Advanced software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven people management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in English
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, taxation or related field or numerical disciplines (Science, Engineering, Mathematics).
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of the ONESOURCE solutions
- Experience of the indirect tax software market
- Experience of client support, product development or consultancy
- European language skills
- Professional accounting or tax qualification.
- Experience with ERP systems and tax technology solutions.
- Knowledge of other languages highly desirable.
- Experience in working with remote teams based in different time zones
