Hadoop Architect / Administrator (Cloudera)

- Supporting the implementation and ongoing operations of system modernization efforts
- Planning, building and supporting the overall architecture and interoperability technologies for Hadoop infrastructure
- Guiding strategic and long – range planning for Cloudera Hadoop (CDH) infrastructure
- Setting standards and guidelines for application architecture and design
- Selecting specific technologies to meet business needs within the overall department architecture
Required skills:
- Over 3 years’ experience administering a Claudera Hadoop Ecosystem and production scale CDH environment using Cloudera Enterprise Manager
- Over 3 years’ combined experience with support/maintenance of HDFS
- Over 3 years’ experience with a configuration management/deployment tool for Hadoop
- Over 5 years combined experience with Linux/Unix administration as well as optimizing and troubleshooting a Hadoop environment
- Experience in administering an Oracle Big Data Appliance is desirable
- Experience with one or more languages (Java, Python, Scala, SQL, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with SSL and Kerberos configuration of all Hadoop services – nice to have
- Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH) certification
