Leading a big team of Finance professionals you will be responsible for defining and developing the operating model for Financial Control and ensuring that the wider bank’s strategic objectives are met. It is a very prominent position that will allow you to see the big picture and influence the change within the organization.
Candidate responsibilities will involve:
Managing proactively the relationships with key business partners and stakeholders both onshore and offshore
Managing the balance sheet analytical review by the business entity
Developing the delivery of reporting requirements across the business
Ensuring that your team provides accurate and timely service for specific units
Running various projects related to the Financial Control function
Responsibility for the overall HR related activities in the team including recruitment, appraisals, coaching, underperformance and disciplinary actions as required
Candidate requirements:
Experience of managing a bigger team indirectly- through Team leaders/Managers
Strong banking experience is a must, including investment banking experience
A strong understanding of accounting standards and investment banking products
Excellent financial controls knowledge and experience
Fluent English is a must
The ability to work well with and lead cross-locational teams as well as to influence senior stakeholders within Finance and across the wider bank
CIMA, ACCA or CFA qualifications will be an advantage
