Your new company
You will join the growing Global Enterprise Architecture team currently consisting of colleagues located in ISS Corporate Headquarters in Copenhagen (Denmark), Warsaw (Poland) and other international ISS locations. As part of the team of Global Architects, you will serve as expert for the respective domain architectures, the application / technology roadmaps and act as technical expert responsible for design & implementation of application and enterprise platforms amongst others in the functional domain of People & Culture (HR) and the surrounding solutions. The Architecture team is involved in all strategic IT-programs and projects and provides guidance & governance for solution delivery and taking responsibility of non-functional requirements.

Your new role
As our experienced Domain Architect, you will work with cross-functional teams to design and communicate high-level structures (domain model, to-be architecture, transformation roadmaps, etc…) to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs for delivery on one or more projects. Additional task is to support the Solution Architects in select, design, and build new digital solutions as well as extensions to standard products in the respective domain (HR). The primary role is to optimize the value of a solution to ISS through delivery and reduce owner risk in its delivery while ensuring the solution meets all compliance and regulatory which impact the system. The role will be responsible for solution strategies, using leading or bleeding-edge concepts and technologies, which will provide a differentiating service for ISS, enabling competitive edge for our employees.

You are expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:
  • Understanding the processes performed by functional business area of People & Culture (HR) and is proficient at leading these functional business areas with business architecture re-engineering and large-scale IT deployment initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain an ongoing partnership with business management to apply in-depth knowledge of the business operations, strategies, priorities, and information requirements to build a scalable and adaptable Digital capability roadmap, identifying and mitigating possible risk.
  • Translate HR business strategy and demands, as well as efficiency needs into a holistic enterprise architecture (business, application, information, technology) to define and maintain the target architecture and digital transformation roadmap.
  • Build and maintain the ISS Domain model and Capability map for HR and use this as anchor point to establish a respective landscape management as well as foster a “ubiquitous” language between business and technology to ensure a common understanding.
  • Responsible for the adoption of an architecture and standards methodology for all projects in Global People & Culture (HR) Portfolio.
  • Creating architecture-compliant solution strategies (e.g. feasibility study) for complex demands that conform both to customer requirements and solution development standards (which may include RFIs, RFPs), selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap for the selected solution.
  • Analyzing and designing of technical, application and technology architectures in alignment with the architecture principles (i.e. Global HR IT landscape) for delivery on one or more projects.
  • Development of a solutions architecture program including Global HR IT roadmaps and project portfolios for Global HR IT systems architecture.
  • Review of cost and design optimized solution designs based on rigorous understanding of costs and returns.
  • Ensure that expected application quality attribute levels are achieved.
  • Communicating solution concepts to all levels of management, stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with other domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
  • 2+ years of experience in either internal role (e.g., domain / solution architect) or external role (e.g., enterprise architect, consulting)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in designing domain architectures, transformation roadmaps and IT solutions, development skills is a plus
  • Several years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture role
  • Expertise with range of HR applications (HCM suits, Payroll, T&A, LMS, Recruitment) or similar software used in HR function
  • Current industry standard knowledge and experience in identifying process improvements and beneficial usage of new technological developments
  • Proficiency with information technologies in a secure network environment
  • Strong customer service orientation and global mindset
  • Excellent oral and written communication with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under indirect supervision
  • Excellent understanding of HR information technology topics
  • Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and acquiring new skills
  • Flexible in a fast-paced dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities
  • Technically creative and open-minded
  • Platform and Architecture technical skills and knowledge of emerging technologies/platforms
  • Experience developing technical documentation (technical design documents, architecture diagrams, etc.)
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
