Our client is a quantitative trading company and leading global electronic market maker building its new IT structures in Warsaw, Poland.
Trading over 10,000 instruments globally and executing millions of trades per day, the company applies years of technology-driven trading experience to make financial markets more efficient.
Your new role
You will have the opportunity to work on various aspects of the company’s technology including developing and optimizing the trading platform, utilizing low level technology and network programming, finding a high-volume data-processing solution for the daily analysis of the firm’s trading activities across all asset classes, and augmenting, improving, and redesigning software systems that support and monitor trading activity in real-time.
You will be able to make an immediate and visible contribution automating and improving firmwide trading infrastructure. Some projects include application development on startof day processes, real-time reconciliations, database manipulations ( e.g. symbol reference, market data), process automation, running advanced reports, and deploying/developing web services.
This role is ideal for those who are passionate about working with high-throughput financial data and have a serious interest in a career in quantitative trading. The role will directly impact the group’s trading activities and help drive its revenue.

What you’ll need to succeed
- BS/MS degree in computer science or related field
- Experience with UNIX scripting and utilities (Python, Pearl, shell, etc.),
- Experience with building, deploying, monitoring and maintaining microservices.
- Experience with actively managing platform compute, network and storage capacity.
- Solid analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot any production issues
- Some experience with Java or C++
- Experience operating in a Linux environment.
- Strong communication skills, ability to express complex concepts in simple terms, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an open and collaborative environment
- Exposure and knowledge of equities and equity derivatives is a plus.
