Cloud Engineer
As a specialist, this role is expected to have skills and experience around frontend and backend development of applications, api’s, microservices built on cloud-based infrastructure and platform. Candidates should possess practical hands-on experience with development tools and languages, setting up CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks and tooling, agile development processes and other full-stack development tools and practices . This is a self-starter type of a role where you will be part of a team with similar interests and skills around designing, developing and delivering these innovations. You should be relishing continuous learning and application of that newly acquired knowledge into your projects. Responsibilities:
- Customer business problem discovery and analysis,
- Use case storyboarding and user experience design and definition,
- Testing solutions with pilot customers to gain user feedback/acceptance,
- Development of demos and showcases of solution,
- Assist with conducting proof of concepts and pilot implementations with customers,
- Provide product and technical feedback to engineering to address gaps,
- Collaborate with your teammates to define new delivery practices and methods to innovate with new solution areas and scale your efforts,
- Create compelling video and other types assets to evangelize solutions,
- Enable other technical resources (customer engineers, professional services and customer success) with our packaged solutions to reach more customers
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience,
- Experience working within the technology and cloud computing market,
- Experience serving in the capacity of a Solution/Sales Engineer in a cloud computing environment, or in a customer facing role in a Professional Services or Systems Engineering capacity,
- Experience of hands-on experience with cloud-based app development and software engineering,
- Strong project and client management skill sets,
- Experience with data, information management and databases - relating to Big Data trends and issues within businesses,
- Technical experience of web/internet related technologies, architecture across SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and competitive cloud productivity suites,
- Familiarity with architecture and operational aspects of large scale distributed systems and with the popular technologies in the machine learning/big data ecosystem (TensorFlow, Spark, etc)
