Chargeback Associate
Responsibility Summary:
Review chargebacks from Issuing banks and refute ones that fall into pre-determined categories in an effort to reverse the charge to QVC. Close customer accounts to avoid further losses. Call customers to collect monies that may be owed to QVC.
Key Accountabilities:
The Chargeback associate works within the parameters of department guidelines and will refute certain chargebacks from issuing banks. The Chargeback associate should be able to decipher valid claims from untruthful ones by calling the bank and or the customer to make key determinations. They will have the authority to close customer accounts, flag addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, IP addresses etc. to ensure any future orders placed with the same characteristics are stopped.
Critical Skills/Knowledge:
• Fluency in English (C1 is a must)
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1+ years of Fraud experience and customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of fraud industry business operational concepts
• Excellent written communication skills required to provide comments on accounts in a clear and concise manner for customer service to understand
• Ability to navigate quickly and multi task through systems and software
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
