Architect of Multimedia Sub-System
Location: WarszawaOur Research Center in Warsaw is searching for enthusiastic Architect of Multimedia Sub-System. Responsibility mainly covers the Multimedia sub-system’s feature design, explore new technologies for OS and development.
Your responsibility:
- Be responsible for system architecture and development for multimedia initiatives and feature development, deliver new and innovative system solutions.
- Assess and deliver relevant multimedia architecture design and select appropriate design patterns.
- Contributing to projects to deliver new multimedia server and multimedia SDK.
- Deliver multimedia features which can work on distributed system and automobile platform.
Required background and experience:
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development building production software systems.
- 5+ years of experience in Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- 5+ years of experience with some Multimedia Frameworks and Technologies – Media Codecs, Audio/Video, Streaming protocols and solutions like HLS, MPEG DASH, RTSP, MPEG2TS, DRM(PlayReady or Widevine) etc.
- 3+ years of experience with Android multimedia framework components like Stagefright, NuPlayer, MediaCodec, MediaDRM, Skia etc.
- Experienced with audio/video encoder, decoder, demux, color format and container (e.g. AVI, MP4 and MP3).
- Knowledge working with multimedia frameworks (e.g. FFMPEG, Gstreamer, OpenMax).
- Strong influence in OS academia and industry;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience architecting multimedia system on embedded consumer electronics devices.
- Experience in working with some well-known media framework like FFMPEG, Gstreamer and Directshow.
- Experience in leading to build complex software systems and have been successfully delivered.
- Experience with digital automotive platform on Multimedia sub-system.

This is a permanent position at our R&D office in Warsaw, Poland.
