Accounting Team Leader with German

Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise a team of accountants, ensuring their professional development and performance
- Delegate tasks effectively, set clear expectations, and provide regular feedback to team members
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and productivity
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop strategies for financial growth and risk management
- Continuously evaluate accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Implement best practices and recommend process improvements to streamline workflows
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals
- Work closely with auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation
- Collaborate with other departments (such as finance, HR, and operations) to align financial goals and objectives
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis
- Provide insights into financial performance and contribute to forecasting processes
Requirements:- Higher education in accounting or finance
- 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- English - B2/C1
- German - B2/C1
- Familiarity with SAP financial software is a plus
