Valuation Control Analyst

Description
We are looking for a Valuation Control Analyst who will carry out a project for our Client – one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world. The tests that will be performed mainly relate to web applications and to a lesser extent, desktop applications (in the company’s internal system).
Main tasks
- Implementing requests within the platform’s database (SQL) related to permitted instrument, trading restriction, hierarchy changes. Responding to ad hoc queries
- Troubleshooting system issues
- Performing tests of new system developments
- Assisting in roll-outs of the platform to new sites
- Producing MI & analysis for a number of forums attended by GVG Valuations team
Requirements
- University graduate from a reputed institution in financial or economic subject or university graduate in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.
- Excellent written English and oral communication skills
- Good understanding of Financial Markets (products traded and their life cycle)
- Familiarity with programming language SQL
- Prior experience in working within Financial Markets or a Treasury department is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ambitious, driven and enthusiastic
