Your new role
The role forms part of a Thematic Assurance team and will be responsible for delivering complex deep-dive and thematic reviews across key operational and resilience risk threats and topics to support Second Line of Defence (SLOD) opinion reporting and in response to senior management requests or identified issues. The role holder will work collaboratively with Risk Owners to ensure risks are understood; provide insights that risks are being measured and reported correctly and provide meaningful, actionable feedback to improve management of risk.

Your new role
The role forms part of a Thematic Assurance team and will be responsible for delivering complex deep-dive and thematic reviews across key operational and resilience risk threats and topics to support Second Line of Defence (SLOD) opinion reporting and in response to senior management requests or identified issues. Key Accountabilities:
- Liaising with ORR stakeholders in the Global Businesses, Global Functions and Regions as in scope of the thematic reviews.
- Ensuring all Thematic Oversight deliverables to stakeholders are concise, precise, impactful and actionable.
- Development of an annual plan that can be changed to reflect changing risks and business priorities.
- Leading thematic reviews to provide an overarching, independent and objective view of the management of operational and resilience risk or NFR Programmes.
- Using outcomes from thematic reviews to educate and share best practice and experience with stakeholders and wider Assurance Team.
- Driving the development and deployment of automated testing and data analytics techniques where practical.
- Driving continuous improvement through recommendations on refinement of approaches, tools and techniques.
- Aligning methodologies and approach as appropriate to minimize duplication of testing across the three lines of defense.
- Leading the design and delivery of the role holder’s components of the annual plan, liaising with relevant stakeholders as and when required.
- Engaging and influence regional and ORR sub function teams to support delivery of the thematic oversight plans.
- Coordinating and lead multi-disciplinary teams from across ORR that are created to deliver specific thematic reviews.
- Designing and delivery of ORR assurance training.
What you'll need to succeed
- Remaining up-to-date on global regulatory developments and to introduce new norms into the wider control framework.
- Remaining up-to-date on changes in regulatory/statutory environment at local and international level on Operational and Resilience Risk.
- Maintaining excellent knowledge of emerging and existing technologies.
- Experience in delivery of assurance and relevant qualifications (e.g. CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIA), as well as use of data analytics and automated testing techniques.
