Commercial Lending Transformation is strategic Business proposition for Global Commercial Banking. Following a pilot in UK, Q1 2020 plans to launch into the US and HK. The Programme aims to deliver a global end to end solution for credit lending from proposition to servicing and to move from decisions in 3 – 4 weeks to within 24 hours. The Programme requires a strong Senior Technology PM to support their implementation. The purpose of this Senior IT Project Manager role is to manage a team (multiple PODs) in to lead delivery of the project. Take accountability for delivery of systems changes and drive artefacts delivery as per plan. Key scope will include document storage, electronic signature and workflow components.

Key Accountabilities:

Impact on Business:
Initiation, scope definition, feasibility planning, architecture agreement and high-level planning.
Managing the plan, managing day-to-day key team members, tracking task completion, modifying the plan to reflect actual progress
Managing costs, tracking project cost and ensuring material variances are discussed with the sponsor, ensure projected forecasts are kept up to-date
Managing issues and risks
Customers / Stakeholders:
Undertake a stakeholder assessment and stakeholder engagement plan and puts this in place at the beginning of the project
Become recognized as the “go to” person for the projects
Identify and engage all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that must participate in the assigned projects
Leadership & Teamwork: manage project resources, both onshore and offshore, as assigned to undertake the project.
Operational Effectiveness & Control:
Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior
Create an environment that is open to and prepared for change
Major Challenges: implementation of the project at aggressive timelines, the need to quickly mobilise a solution to meet the demands of Business Sponsors

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:

Project Management: how project is executed, schedule and cost variance, usage of tools, awareness of PM process and methodologies
Communication: timeliness of communication (emails, chat, Meetings, Reports etc.), effectiveness of communication
Stakeholder Management
Risk Management
Negotiation Skills
Team Player
Compliance: ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory issues and compliance of all internal controls,implement and comply with Group Compliance Policy
Should deliver considering the operational risk associated with the role
