Technical Product Analyst

The role’s remit covers the build, delivery and operational support of a global Digital Banking API domain. The TPA role is accountable for delivery of the domain vision, scope, architecture and operational standards, including dependency management. Technical Product Analyst will work closely with our Technical Product Manager to understand domain vision and the wider digital product propositions to be supported. They will actively build relationships with colleagues across not only across the wider organisation working together to create compelling solutions.
API Domains will:
Support all business lines
Ensure integrated and consistent process models across all channels
Support the group security and risk global standards
Ensure continuous delivery using devops
Continuously test and improve the core processing
Support new technology in line with market trends Key responsibilities will include
Own the ‘API as a Product’ delivery driving an ‘outside-in’ API product vision in accordance with the agreed API design standards and principles
Develop, through stakeholder collaboration, a cohesive plan for realising our domain vision.
Provide a single point of ownership and ensure requisite artefacts, documentation and support are available as needed for domain health and future growth.
Maintain the requisite supporting technical backlog required to enhance API operations and performance
In tandem with engineering, develop appropriate planning, prioritization, and release management processes to enable launch of new services and features that our customers understand and derive value.
Own and manage the commercials for the domain understanding utilization, operational costs, and costs of ownership
Required:
Demonstrated success building out an API platform as a product
Experience with both Agile and Lean development methodologies
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to link product design and features to strategic objectives while using hard data and metrics to substantiate up assumptions and recommendations.
Customer focused, results based approach, able to deliver to deadlines.
Strategic approach to problem resolution as well as the ability to develop and communicate a sound plan.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to concisely and effectively convey your rationale and needed actions to engage diverse audiences and influence senior executives.
Track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results.
Comfort with technology including ability to translate business and customer need to business requirements, technical assessments, launch, and ongoing management.
Strong communication skills for navigating through business requirements, differences of opinion on approach.
Demonstrate flexibly when addressing shifting or competing priorities.
Able to share responsibility for key decision making with a team, while accepting responsibility to drive internal decision-making processes. Ability to effectively influence and communicate across various business lines and units and at senior levels within the organisation.
