We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:

 

Technical Lead

Location: Kraków

 

 

Our customers create data when they interact with us, we need to care for that data and use it to improve the customers experience. This team is initially focused on that first step, ensuring we are gathering that data in a safe and conistent way that enables us to mine for insight and make decisions as a customer and a business based on that information.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

The first challenge: Very specifically, it will start with addressing a slice of data called transactional MI, which is data generated when a customer initiaties a transaction and is processed at an API level. The lifecycle of this data crosses many teams, from inside D3 to market Data & Analytics teams and across 38 entities. There will be API integration work, ownership of version one of a global platform for piping data and most importantly, an outcome of delivering MI (not just data) into the hands of entity and commercial teams. This will be our initial KPI.

The future: We need a consistent platform for streaming all our data within Company and ensuring it is democratised / easily consumed with the right authority. This should feed downstream initiatives like our Intelligence Hub which will further feed many use-cases like MI reporting and insight as well as a feedback loop into the data stream to power smarter products, giving our customers control over their financing approach to fulfilling their dreams and ambitions.

 

Requirements:

Help multiple teams address their data enablement needs often building it for them in the earl days, but also consulting on reusing global platforms.

Technically own, build and operate the global platforms that provide as easy as possible data integrations from varied sources.

Be hands on, proficient in at least Java (due to incumbent systems), future platform technologies are to be defined, maybe Python.

Manage a small technology team that should view themselves as a hit squad for tackling challenges wherever they arise, to meet the overall outcomes, not be limited by perceived scope.

Focus on the outcomes, not just the deliverables within your direct control.

Help build the Data Enablement as a Product team.

Have an engineering-architect outlook, able to design and build systems.

Treat software development as a craft, be proud of the code you and your team writes.

Ideally experienced with data-led systems.

Stamina / grit is 1000mph, constantly moving, lots of inertia to overcome.

Persistance – the inertia often manifests as an immediate series of challenges with no clear view on how many are between you and victory.

Optimist - keep the larger outcome in sight as it is very easy to get bogged down and demotivated by the sheer scale and complexity we are faced with daily.
