Your new role
We are looking for Tech Leads which will help our Client build and run their Agile software development teams, helping to their’s online banking services as we move away from the monolithic architectures to a new microservices platform. Your role will be to inspire, lead and drive the continuous improvement of their processes, tooling and engineering practices. Our Client’s engineering leads are all hands on coders, and can either front or back end specialists or full stack developers. We’re looking for passionate, team loving, agile evangelising, technology enthusiasts to join the team and become part of our Client’s journey to shape and change the future of their company. Key Accountabilities
- Lead, motivate, mentor and coach teams of Engineers, with a collaborative attitude, within a demanding, maturing Agile environment, delivering modern consumer facing digital products,
- We promote a DevOps culture, so you will need to look beyond pure programming and get involved with the deployment and operation of the software you build,
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and negotiate fluently to define strategy and goals that deliver maximum business benefits. Manage the end-to-end components of the change journey, especially defining technical acceptance criteria,
- Influence and champion new ideas and methods,
- Help to identify, screen and select talent through recruitment process.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful Candidate, you should be familiar with all and expert in some of the following:
- Building ‘mobile first’, responsive, adaptive single page applications by coding in standards compliant HTML5, CSS3, ES6 & Java 8,
- Solid awareness of cross-browser/device and cross platform development,
- Experience consuming REST APIs and utilising JSON for web or mobile applications.
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitHub, SonarQube, Nexus,
- F/E tooling - Node.js, React, Redux, Yarn, Babel, PM2
- B/E tooling – Spring Boot, Maven, Postman
- Test automation development tooling - Selenium, Junit, Wiremock, Mocha, Chai, Jest
- Agile Toling – Jira, Confluence, Slack
- Application Monitoring – Splunk, AppDynamics
- PaaS/IaaS – Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), AWS, Mule API gateway
- Lean and Agile methods of software delivery (Scrum, Kanban, Lean UX, XP, BDD, ATDD and TDD)
