Our client is one of the largest design and consulting american company in the world, operating in over 150 countries.
A new SSC, in the heart of Bucharest (Romana Square) were key finance functions will be migrated from USA and Canada.
Your new role
- Researchtax clearance and tax refund requests
- Prepare journal entries and related schedules for indirect tax specific general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in a high-volume environment
- Participate in the Indirect Tax Compliance close process and meet stringent deadlines
- Assume an active role in researching issues, coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams, and presenting recommendations to management
- Proactive identification of process improvement opportunities
- Solve problems while handling multiple assignments
- Prepare monthly indirect tax filings, including but not limited to Sales/Use Tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), Gross Receipts Tax, and Business & Occupation Tax
- Maintain Tax Calendar ensuring all tax due dates are met
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree holder or above in Accounting, Business, or Tax
- More than 2 years of accounting experience
- Ability to use the Microsoft Suite Programs, including an advanced knowledge of Excel
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles)
- Exposure to Indirect Tax, especially US and Canada Indirect Tax
- Excellent communication skills in order to distil complex tax concepts into easily comprehensible subject matter for non-tax colleagues
- Understanding of indirect tax research
- Excellent customer service skills- Fluency in English
