Solution Architecture

It is a foundational (digitally-centred) proposition which can be harnessed by our markets in support of the Growth Agenda. Our goal is to enable mobile-centred smart banking faster, more effectively and in a way that sets the standard of modern banking and paves the way for bank of the future. As an architect within Third Party Services, you will work in a two-person architecture team on several existing and new services, mainly focused on integration with third-party vendor solutions. Our biggest project is DIVA, a global identity validation & authentication service that will provide any market with the ability to verify a customers identity, via an API integration, powered by a selection of third party vendors, delivering real time identity and anti impersonation checks.
The Technology Solution Architecture job is accountable to work with the Portfolio and Platform Architects, Technical Lead & Engineers to define the detailed solution design (incl. Story Decomposition) for stories in backlog.
This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:
Design Architecture for new Cloud-native services and re-design existing services for migration to Cloud
Accountable for ensuring the products & services are supported by the right architectures and solutions meet the customer needs
Accountable for ensuring the design of the product solutions are cost effective and maintained through the agile development lifecycle, managing the flow of the backlog of design activities
Convert requirements into actionable product/service requirements that feed Technology solutions development & influence service direction.
Responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned with the platform architecture and roadmap, group standards and policies and the overall enterprise architecture for their function.
Requirements:
Documenting solution architecture and design
Public Cloud (preferably AWS)
API design
Technical background
Knowledge of serverless, microservice, containers architecture (nice to have)
Java (nice to have)
