We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Software Engineer
Software Engineer at regional EMEA IT Payments team will develop, maintain and support payments related services and interfaces processing SEPA payments and SWIFT messages across European region.
Key Accountabilities:
- Development, maintenance and support of new requirements related to bank’s payments services hosted on Linux and Java based environments.
- Development, maintenance and support of service related interfaces using EAI, WMB, MQ and Mulesoft.
- Maintain and further improve current solutions and onboarding and enhancements of new solutions.
- Providing Level 3 support and consultancy to Level 2 Production Support teams.
- Creating Functional, Technical or Business process related documentation for supported services or interfaces.
- Conducting Unit Testing, System Integrated Testing of related message maps, interfaces, solutions etc.
- Taking an accountability for quality of an output and timely delivery of tasks,
- Embedding and following group strategy, values and behaviors while dealing with project related matters,
- Implementation of locally developed solutions (Script Shell, Java, bash, perl),
- Working closely with Project Managers, Architects, Business Stakeholders and further surrounding teams and IT units located in UK, France or India.
- Using GitHUB, Jankins, RTC, G3 for artefact management and wherein the code release mechanism.
- Following Agile & DevOps working methodology.
Requirements:
- Master degree
- Min. 2 year experience in Software development (Java/J2EE etc. or equivalent)
- Experience in Linux (min 1-2 year’s)
- Experience in XML
- Experience in Oracle SQL
- Experience in WMB (IBM WebSphere Message Broker and Transformation Extender)
- Experience in Mulesoft
- Experience in collaboration with Senior Management
- Experience in working in a banking or IT environment will be an advantage
- Experience with MQ
- Fluent English (must have!)
- French (was an advantage)
- Self-driven and independent
- Strong communications, organizational and negotiation skills
- Ability to adopt to changing business environment
- Ability to work within international environment
- Ability to manage a complex workload, analytical mind-set
- Knowledge of Payment business area (SEPA rules and ISO20022) was an advantage
- DevOps pipeline management (experience in using GitHUB and Jenkins)
- Java/Sprintbot or Angular hands-on experience was an advantage and beneficial within day-to-day duties
- Able to achieve an excellence under time & stress pressure and being able to multitask
