For our Client, international banking company located in Kraków, we are looking for Candidates interested in Software Engineer (iSeries Event Management) position.
Your new role
The primary responsibility of iSeries Event Management role is to deliver robust monitoring and alerting to IT business service running on iSeries platform. Ensuring delivery service to customer satisfy their requirement/purpose within agreed SLA and adhere to global standard or best practice established. Main aim is to provide quality & timely IT business service exception monitoring and to notify IT support team accurately for investigation and recovery, provide 24*7 production support to maintain our service availability, and provide administer the end-to-end governance for monitoring and alerting configuration.
On this position you will deliver monitoring and alerting solution to satisfy customer requirements and adhere to established global standard and best practice. Provide 24*7 monitoring service production support, identify issue to fix and resume service timely with appropriate escalations where necessary. Moreover, you will Maintain close communication with business users, operations and IT teams to provide technology service/solution to meet their requirement of various requests/issues. Provide technical leadership with a view of taking ownership of technical deliverables and handle escalations for the team
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful Candidate on this position you need to have experience of working in iSeries operating system and systems management, basic knowledge of iSeries monitoring and scheduling products such as Robot/CONSOLE and Control-M and basic knowledge of iSeries programming skills such as ILE CL, RPG, SQL and JDBC (Java Database Connectivity).
It would be great if you also had the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with stakeholders (internal as well as external), ability to develop positive relationships and also ability to work in flexible working hours to accommodate service support or meetings with people located in different time-zone countries.
