As part of our Emerging Technologies team, we are looking for a forward-thinking individual in the field of Software Engineering to deliver considerable business impact. In this role, you will work in a multidisciplinary team to design and develop solutions through application of Data Mining, Machine and Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence and latest digital technologies.
Your new role
• Increase the maturity of Universal-Investment’s current analytical capabilities to true machine intelligence and take advantage of emerging technologies around Data Science and AI
• Understand business needs and identify Data Science / AI use cases and opportunities
• Help develop new products and services for our internal and external clients
• Work equally well on a team or independently, given a set of project requirements or tasks
• Understand the aspects of the software development cycle, from architecture to testing
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Participate in projects using agile methodologies, such as the Scrum approach to agile software development
• Architect and implement AI solutions involving natural language processing, speech, computer vision, bots and agents
What you'll need to succeed
As successful candidate, you will bring the following:
• Master/Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Deep understanding of application development practices and design patterns, application lifecycle management, and common software architectures
• Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices, including automation, continuous delivery, continuous deployment, and continuous integration methodologies
• Deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing, APIs, Machine Learning, Deep Learning Technologies
• Solid understanding of common database technologies, such as SQL Database/Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB
• Deep understanding and working experience of big data systems, including Spark, Hadoop, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks clusters, notebooks, jobs, and autoscaling
• Fluency in C# and Python
• Extensive experience in Cloud Platform Microsoft Azure
• A high level of commitment, flexibility and reliability
• Proven agile development skills
• Fluent in English
• German language skills would be a plus
• Willingness to travel as necessary
• EU work permit required
