Job Overview

Technical Service Specialist is a professional serving the cross-functional tender teams and project teams to support product development, management, and sales solutions for the creation of comprehensive responses to requests for proposals (RFP/RFT/RFQ; tenders /quotations). Achieving the highest possible tender/offering performance rate followed by the successful and above all profitable sales is the primary and goal of his/her work contribution.

As a Senior Technical Service Specialist you will be responsible for providing the comprehensive technical service for Energy Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, and particularly:

  • Providing the day-to-day technical support for sales and business development
  • Being an active member of tender and project teams
  • Supporting the tender quotes and RFQ’s (i.a. projects) for EMEA Customers
  • Answering specific technical queries
  • Coordinating technical audits, type tests and FAT execution coordination
  • Supporting in taking care of dedicated GPLs (e.g. heat & cold shrink MV/LV cable accessories)
  • Verifying product and PCNs (part numbers)
  • Coordinating post manufacturing reports
  • Being the first point of contact for type-test reports, data sheet, drawings etc.
  • Estimating and analysing costs of the product(s) as support for product management, purchase & finance unit

Technical Service Specialist will be office based (2 days/week) and work with colleagues and customers across Europe mainly through remote communication measures.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar disciplines
  • Good working knowledge of electrical equipment and insulation technology for industrial and utility applications.
  • Working experience with product management, project management and task forces
  • Working understanding of power business operations (utilities & industrial)
  • Strong customer service skills with customer-oriented mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (written and oral fluency)
  • Business level proficiency in German, or French, Spanish, Italian, Slavic languages will be an asset.
  • Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office required, SAP knowledge nice to have
