For our client, international banking company located in Krakow, in order to meet the growing market demand for speed to market and to stay competitive in an challenging marketplace, we are looking for an experienced Production Support Specialist.
Your new role
You will provide 1st and 2nd line of production support services including resolution of live incidents as well as post-resolution problem management activities (Incident Management, Service Improvement Plans), expertise in finding root cause of major system problems, oversee the resolution of problems and incidents of varying complexity to enable the operation to continue to run and deliver service effectively by eradicating recurrences with the minimum disruption to the business (Problem Management).
Also you will detect, analyze and resolve problems associated with servers, networks and applications and you will take care of implementation of local developed solutions (i.e. Shell Scripting, DB procedures, etc.) as well as supporting of the various testing activities related to the new implementations (Change Management).
You will work in follow-the-sun support model so you need to be able to cover shifts between 8AM to 6PM and from time to time you need to cover weekends and holiday's shifts.
What you'll need to succeed
You need to have a strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and shell scripting. SQL knowledge and batch processing (Control-M) are essential.
It would be nice if you would have experience in system implementations and organizational processes (using ITIL framework).
Strong communication skills and English proficiency are a must.
