Senior Mobile DevOps Engineer (Android)

Your new role 

• Design, build, and maintain custom DevOps tooling for mobile engineering teams.
• Monitor, maintain, and extend our in-house Mobile CI pipeline (Jenkins) and related services, especially for Android-specific parts of infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD pipeline issues to ensure reliability.
• Develop automated solutions in Python (or other preferred language) to replace manual processes.
• Define and implement dashboards and monitoring for production services.
• Support development teams with tooling, automation, and incident management.
• Collaborate across teams to identify and solve common challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, tooling, and engineering practices.

What you39ll need to succeed 

• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes); Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Splunk, AppDynamics). Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef).
• Strong troubleshooting, performance testing, and teamwork skills.
• At least 3 years in similar devops position, 5 years in engineering positions overall.

• Deep understanding of Android app build process.
• Knowledge of Gradle and aOS build optimisation.
• Understanding of app modularisation patterns and modern app architectures.
• Familiarity with analytics and crash reporting tools.
• Expertise in Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and cloud security best practices.
