For our client located in Stalowa Wola, we are looking for a Senior IT System Administrator.
Your new role
The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of operating system concepts, system interconnectivity, virtualisation, hardware and software management, active directory and group policy, file systems, client/server interoperability, performance analysis, system vulnerability assessment, remediation, and prevention. Analytical and troubleshooting knowledge and experience are a must. Consistent reliability during standard business work hours, occasional off-hours availability is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage servers and workloads in a on-premises and cloud hybrid environment
• Monitor and maintain systems using manual and automation processes
• Develop and document processes to streamline IT management
• Provide security patching and vulnerability mitigation
• Interpret vulnerability reports and produce security policies to harden systems • Perform operating system and software upgrades according to product lifecycles • Guarantee all data is stored securely, optimally, and backed up regularly
• Troubleshooting performance issues and outages including investigating root cause, implementing fixes, and preventative actions
• Alert remediation of security alerts including antivirus, privileged access, etc.
• Participate in routine compliance and security audits.
• Use a ticketing system to manage incident/problem/change control processes.
• Contribute to Technology Operations Team (Infrastructure, Security and Service Desk) strategy and vision. Helps to guide project requirements, design & development, deployment.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and occasional after-hour support
What you39ll need to succeed
• 4-years of experience in the administration of environments including Windows Server and Virtualisation
• Knowledge should include familiarity with data centre and storage platforms
o Server hardware and OS platforms
o Block, file, and object storage
o Identity Providers
o Configuration Management
o Network and application monitoring
o Backup & recovery systems
• Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
• Group Policy
• PowerShell
• VMware vSphere
