Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help us strengthen our delivery capabilities. SBA will be focusing on the complex and varied book of work associated to our Regulatory workstreams and demand coming mainly from EU countries (Germany/France others). On joining to the team, the successful candidate will be expected to quickly gain a solid understanding of the existing processes, system flows and components currently used: displaying sufficient interpersonal and relationship building skills to liaise directly with engineers, IT business partners and directly with Business stakeholders, SMEs to develop functional specifications and work out best design and solution proposition from our perspective based on demand from the Business. Successful candidate must have strong technical skills and proper understanding of all technological processes and application development lifecycles, as well he needs to have strong knowledge around business process management and as well be enough open-minded and have willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities:

To turn high level (business requirement and target operating model/gap analysis) statements into tangible tasks (i.e. Functional specifications) in the context of the touch points in the existing/new system stacks, become SME within initiatives and go to person around overall design / data / data flow / process
Supporting IT in creation of functional specification documentation/JIRA tasks etc.
Working with the business and IT in a collaborative and iterative manner to build out appropriate solutions.
Internal interactions activities use a consultative or participative approach, encouraging positive peer relationship and treating others with respect. Establishing trust and sharing expertise, as needed, are key aspects of effective business development.
Analyze present systems and processes, formulate new or revised systems, examine techniques in use and determine appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs and enhance efficiency to meet business needs.
Review and interpret policies, practices and procedures and assure complete understanding and compliance by all affected personnel, recommending appropriate changes needed to accomplish the Bank's aims, objectives and programs.
Supporting the design and conceptualization of new business process solution options and articulate identified impacts and risks
May assist in the development of budgets and other departmental reporting such as monitoring of expenditures, collecting statistical performance measurements and managing space planning, produce detailed system requirements, evaluate vendor responses and make recommendations to management.
Prepare comprehensive reports presenting recommendations for operating procedures or workflow improvement, organizational changes, introduction of controls and procedures, evaluation of equipment and automation requirements, etc.
Engaging with the PM / Architecture level to align solutions and overall platform goals and present proposed solutions to the appropriate design authority.
Contribute positively to a high energy environment where solving problems is the principle focus.
Work with various stakeholders to source / analyse information and bring an appropriate depth of experience to help drive decisions.
Ensure stakeholders are engaged and contribute where there are options to be considered such that any compromises are understood and agree.
Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy

Requirements:

Proven track record of taking high level business requirements and producing functional specifications / technical documents and ability to engage with internal stakeholders in order to understand and discuss both operational and technology change challenges
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
Excellent analytical, problem solving and end to end impact/process reasoning skills
Ideally the candidate will have experience of working within Baking / Financial industry
Must be able to interpret user requirements to meet technical development needs and also interpreting technical development needs/questions into user friendly communication
Must be observant and pay close attention to detail
Must have the ability to execute and deliver both individually and through the team, on required initiatives with minimal supervision or intervention from Management.
Strong knowledge in Business Process Management or experience in designing BPM
Experience in workflow management and design
Advanced knowledge/experience in Testing, end to end process/impacts, tools and methodology (JIRA/Confluence/Diagrams).
General knowledge in Development, Database Management, Infrastructure designs
Other language skills (German) can be considered as an advantage.
