We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Senior Analyst – Independent Model Review (Market or Credit Teams)
Some people have great abilities to work with models and test various scenarios to ensure liquidity, compliance to regulations and generally safeguard Banking institutions from various risks around the world and specifically around the world of finance.
Working with the best technical minds on models like Credit Risk, Traded Risk, Insurance Risk, Hedging, Retail Credit Risk, Asset Management, Financial Vulnerability to name a few, you would get to work in a large highly sophisticated team. Somewhere you can use your educational background to develop further amongst like-minded “Quants”. Somewhere you can lead other like-minded people with your in-depth knowledge of modelling and desire to work with some young and bright people.
You will be working with various concepts of “money”, and most models you’ll be expected to work with will have some exposure for the Bank to currency fluctuation and other global economic events. Other things might include:
Deliver Model Appraisals
Identify Model Assumptions and Limitations for these proposed Models
Document findings and appraisal outcomes
Work in a really dynamic team of other Quants
Provide detailed updates for Committees, Senior Management and Regulators
Mentor junior Quants and provide support to the whole team
Work to generate good working relationships with Model Developers / Owners
Work with people from around the World regularly
You probably have a good grasp of the above because you’ve been involved with Quantitative Finance before so it won’t be a surprise that you need some Educational experience in this area or Mathematics, Economics or Engineering and at least a few years’ experience in Banking would give you some more abilities too.
More demanding skills that would be great are:
Experience with Trading Models, Risk Models, Statistical Models, Scorecard Development
Basel II / III Understanding
Some experience of developing Pricing Models and Risk Models
Experience with Independent Model Review
Some experience defining and shaping rigorous framework
Working in a sharp and savvy team is always a great idea, and if you haven’t got that team around you yet then there’s always a chance to get involved.
