SAP PI Application Support Analyst / AGR
Location: BrnoJob Description
Required to support applications residing on a stand-alone PI landscape. Responsible for monitoring applications, raising issues, resolving application problems, passing on issues to other teams, maintaining and improving the applications built in PI.
The Role
- Reporting to the in-country Systems Manager
- Responsible for daily monitoring of applications and routing of issues to the appropriate team.
- Specific tasks include (but are not limited to):
-
Technical application issue resolution
-
Resolve level 2+ service requests and assist support staff to resolve level 2+ service requests, including configuring and testing PI applications

Configure and administer PI components (Integration Repository , Integration builder, Software landscape directory, SAP Web AS ABAP/Java, Integration Engine, Adapter Engine etc)

Working with SAP Basis analysts when they are required to support PI upgrades and reorganisation

Actively monitor message processing and message throughput including troubleshooting and status tracking of messages
-
Resolve service requests and assist support staff to resolve the service requests, including configuring and testing PI
-
Resolve service requests and assist support staff to resolve the service requests, including configuring and testing SAP
-
Day-to-day support of all production applications
-
Develop, maintain and enforce standard processes, including processes for design and documentation in accordance with SAP and organizational standards
-
Ensuring that Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded.

Performance monitoring and troubleshooting
-
Identify improvements and opportunities to improve performance
-
Providing the Team Leader with regular progress updates and ensuring that project deadlines/recovery targets are met
-
On-call support out of office hours where required – as part of a rota
Knowledge & Skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Experience with SAP Tools (SAP Gui, BRTools and Oracle SqlPlus)
- A background in Basis support – 2/3 years
- A good all round knowledge of IT
- A good understanding of server operating systems technology
- Additional skills that would be of advantage:

Knowledge/experience of Linux/Redhat environments

ABAP/Java Programming

Unix Shell Scripting
-
Experience of working with teams located in other countries
