Regional Demand Planner
Regional Demand Planner is a new role in the company's structures. The selected candidate will be responsible for the demand plan for the assigned market in the EMEA region and will actively cooperate with internal stakeholders to effectively coordinate and prioritize execution of the demand. The candidate will report directly to the Regional Demand Manager and will join newly created team
Client Details
Our Client is a global manufacturer and marketer of diversified and specialty chemical products. The company is currently establishing a new Business Centre in Kraków, where it is locating new competences.
Description
- Supervision of the demand plan for the next 24m for the assigned market in the EMEA region
- Collect external and internal information that affects the demand. Assess risks and opportunities linked to it
- Daily cooperation with commercial teams regarding sales forecast and supporting final decision on demand plan
- Coordinate and prioritize execution of the demand by communicating actively with supply planning team
- Communicate demand plan changes to supply planning team, but also to all necessary stakeholders (operations, supply chain, marketing)
- Create mitigation action plans when supply cannot meet demand, propose solutions, take decisions and guidance
- Understand the financial impacts of demand plan changes and proactively communicate to all necessary stakeholders
- Review the need for safety stock and determine its value
- Strong cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
- Interpret and influence the output of statistical forecasting models
- Refine forecast at material / customer level to reflect the sales objectives of the organization
Profile
- University degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
- Previous professional experience in the field of demand planning is required
- Previous experience gained in international production company or SSC environment
- Proven track record in demand planning / forecasting
- Knowledge and experience in S&OP or IBP processes beneficial
- Understanding of supply planning and production planning, new product introduction, material planning and good knowledge in inventory management
- Fluency in English is a must
- Knowledge of French or German is a strong plus
- High proficiency in major IT tools (SAP-APO, Excel) is a strong plus
- Attention to details and high level of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
