Regional CFO (Alps & CEE)
With big focus on commercial side of fast developing business the candidate will lead financial accounting, reporting and controlling service across Alps (Switzerland and Austria) and Central & Eastern Europe Region (Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia)
This position supports the Regional Director to deliver the commercial objectives of the Alps and CEE Region.

This position supports the Regional Director to deliver the commercial objectives of the Alps and CEE Region.
Description
- Report and analyse financial results of the Alps & CEE Region to enable understanding of commercial performance of the business
- Influence key business decisions makers to ensure the right commercial outcome based on sound and comprehensive financial analysis and bring financial rigour and focus to business decisions
- Drive an understanding of the key value drivers of the region to drive future growth with a particular focus on improving operating margin
- Maximise cash contribution of the region
- Produce forecast, budget and business plans that give a best estimate on future performance and resource requirements
- Provide a best in class, value for money accounting transaction service for the five legal entities across the Region
- Maintain a financial controls framework that safeguards the financial integrity of the Group
- Lead the development of finance teams and staff across the region
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the Group - both within the region (Country Managers, Sales director) and within the Group (Operations management, Group Executive)
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and co-ordinate preparation of requests for spending
- Work closely with Group Tax and Treasury and Group Reporting to ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations across the Region
Profile
- Business / accounting degree or equivalent
- Experience in a senior finance position demonstrating influence on commercial decisions
- Experience in managing the full P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flows of a business
- Experience of operating across multiple territories and leading finance functions in multiple locations
- Knowledge of subscription based business information company an advantage
- Commercially aware, excellent communicator and strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships and influence staff from different functions, territories and backgrounds
- Strong written reporting and confident verbal communication skills
- Numeric / strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to describe complex circumstances in a simple but accurate way
- Drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges
- Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines
- "Can do attitude" to drive change through finance team and wider organisation
- Fluent English speaker
