Acting as the Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for the overall management of End to End payroll process, including, but not limited to transactional activities, running payroll reports, validating payroll results, reporting and payments to employees and authorities and answering queries related to payroll. You have an opportunity to really influence your way of working by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities within our processes. Within this role you will be expected to work with outsource providers to process market payrolls as well as managing in-house payroll, whilst ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance through the research, development and administration of efficient payroll policies and operating procedures. You are happy to be "hands-on" in all aspects of our team's work. Most of all, you will be service oriented with excellent critical thinking and communication skills.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Managing accurate and timely payrolls
  • Working with other team members to meet payroll deadlines
  • Maintaining knowledge of current statutory legislation
  • Building up relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Opportunities to be involved in company-wide projects
  • Dealing with queries via the phone and emails
  • Working with outsource provider on expense payments as required
  • Supporting personal expenses and credit card administration

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process country/ region monthly payroll in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with legislative requirements and monthly deadlines
  • Administer payroll related details on our HR/Payroll system
  • Performing reconciliations and audit tasks for monthly payrolls
  • Accurate transmission of banking payments and bank accounts reconciliation
  • Providing high level of customer service via Payroll Help Desk, e-mails and in person on a variety of queries of varying complexity to the employees.
  • Continuously look to improve the efficiency of day-to-day payroll operations through work processes improvements
  • Advising on compensation, legislation, benefits and tax related issues
  • The role may also work with our outsource provider on expense payments

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Previous payroll administration experience within a busy, service driven environment
  • Payroll experience within European markets
  • An exceptional eye for detail as well as a proactive and methodical approach to work
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail across both manual and systems based work
  • A natural ability to coordinate, prioritise and multitask with little supervision
  • A customer focused approach, with the ability to handle customer queries by digital, telephone and email
  • A collaborative approach to work
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to adapt to a highly changeable environment
  • Knowledge of other languages is nice to have : French, Italian, German, Spanish
