Key Activities Role:
- Design standardised global Payroll Processes in alignment with Global Process Owner (GPO) with best in class mentality
- Maintain and update documentation of process overviews, details and flow charts
- Lead process discovery workshops for all countries in scope
- Identify gaps between legacy and global processes
- Advise local teams and GPO on workarounds for country specific gaps
- Join blueprinting workshops during implementation and ensure all gaps are addressed and documented
- Document deviations, facilitate deviate approvals (where required) and, maintain deviation log for all countries
- Contribute to the preparation of local desktop procedures and desktop procedures for service centers
- Continuously monitor standard/country level processes and continuously drive improvement
- Work together with Data Analytics Advisor to identify weaknesses in processes, determine priorities and implement as required
- Work with other department heads to create cross departmental processes
- On an ongoing basis, work together with payroll managers to understand their priorities and concerns, and identify the impact on the processes
- Ensure guidelines on process excellence are followed
- Support roll out of new processes and provide training to local teams as required
- Perform regular “walks” with front line team members to check performance of procedures
Preferred knowledge / experience:
- Multiple years of relevant work experience in the international Payroll environment
- Experience in business process design development
- Experience with Process improvement tools such as Six Sigma, design principles, Quality Driven Management tools
- Ability to lead and facilitate process discovery workshops
- Experience with developing & implementing measurement systems, processes & procedures for complex situations
- Ability to work in an international environment with cross-functional teams and Front Line Management
- Project Management ability to set priorities based on country specific urgencies and requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Innovative as well as process-driven and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently, have self-discipline and motivation
- Able to multi-task under pressure whilst maintaining high quality delivery
