For our client, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisation, we are looking for Operational and Resilience Risk Senior Manager
Your new role
As a O&R Risk Senior Manager you will:
- Ensure the integrity and timely completeness of risk and control identification, assessment and information within the Group’s Risk and Control system of record (Helios) as well as directing documented remediation plans for residual risks
- Conduct thematic reviews across Europe to ensure that risk and control environment is commensurate with the scale and nature of operations
- Develops, deploys and embeds the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and provides advice, guidance and challenge in relation to ORR oversight and internal control effectiveness within Europe
- Assesses compliance with Group policies and risk appetite
- Supporting the development of relevant MI and use to support ORR oversight. Analyse data to draw insights
- Contribute to operational risk quantitative measurement capabilities, including risk appetite, scenario analysis, capital modelling, stress testing and capital allocation. Ensure the scenario programme is delivered locally through Risk stewards and the 1st line
- Co-ordinating ORR wide operational risk updates to senior governance forums (e.g. RMMs, risk meetings and Board meetings), internal and external audit and regulatory bodies
- Leading on consolidation of regional information that provides a 2LoD risk opinion for Group Risk Governance Committees on the effectiveness of operational and resilience risk management activities
- Providing robust, independent oversight and challenge to stakeholders regionally, as well as guidance and support in the management of risk
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong level of risk management knowledge and relevant experience
- Strong level of business management knowledge and experience of working in a senior role
- Comprehensive knowledge of the external environment (risk, regulatory, geopolitical, competitor etc)
- A BA or BS University Degree, advanced degrees preferable, (e.g. MBA, MSc, PhD) in relevant discipline
- Professional qualifications may be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of operational risk capital modelling and stress testing.
- Strong background in analysing data and gathering insights.
- Ability to communicate effectively, building strong relationships and influencing key senior internal and external stakeholders - by articulating compelling arguments, positions, strategy and vision
