Your new role
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the team in the role of Digital Infrastructure Engineer. The role is a Technical Engineer in Websphere MQ technologies on distributed platforms (with the ideal candidate also having a background in WAS or Liberty). This will include working very closely with Technical SME’s in other infrastructure disciplines including but not limited to WAS, Oracle and MongoDB ensuring operational quality and efficiency for the major internet banking systems. The role holder will report to the Digital Infrastructure Engineering Manager based in Krakow and work closely with other engineers, the delivery management function and cross functional teams to support the delivery of world class service across 300+ Digital Banking services globally.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the team in the role of Digital Infrastructure Engineer. Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical SME for MQ, and associated technologies and automation.
- Working with lead solution and infrastructure architects to deliver quality, scalable and performant services
- Responsible for rollout of operational toolkits and service monitoring solutions required by the role to enhance the ability to troubleshoot and ultimately prevent customer facing issues
- Delivery of new and upgraded database services
- Delivery of security enhancements and fixes as required
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:
- MQ certified desirable
- Knowledge of WebSphere related products (WAS, Liberty, Portal) desirable
- End to end systems architecture knowledge
- DevOps principles for efficient delivery
- Mentoring and supporting colleagues
- Infrastructure design and architecture – collaboration with Solution Architect and Lead Developers
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have a track record of:
- Experience of delivering enterprise scale infrastructure to aggressive timescales and targets
- Planning multiple work streams, delegating and coordinating amongst colleagues
- Reporting to senior stakeholders
- Self-sufficient and demonstrating initiative
- Service-oriented approach to ensuring service is priority
- Automating to increase efficiency and improve quality
- Flexible approach to working (location / availability)
