Key Accountabilities:
We require an experienced JavaScript Developer to be part of the team developing this set of financial investigation tools. The role involves the development of user interfaces to present data via real time APIs (XML & JSON formats). Creating mockups/wire frames, generating layout & styling and building behavior and logic to drive the front end. It is a hands-on role, working closely with software analysts, developers, testers and the product owner.
We promote a DevOps culture so you will need to get involved with the deployment and operation of the
software we build.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ Javascript development experience
- Experience with Javascript ES5 (ES6 good to have)
- Experience using testing tools, e.g. Mocka, Jest, Intern Chai, Sinon
- A good understanding of design and core principles e.g. design patterns, separation of concerns/layers, single responsibility principle/clean code
- Agile (Scrum/Kanban) & BDD/TDD experience
- Previous experience using Git/GitHub
- JIRA and Confluence
- XML, XSLT, JSON, XPath
Not required but desired:
- Experience of Unix/Linux shell scripting
