Java Engineer
Location: KrakowThe candidate will take part in the ongoing development of a synthetic swaps application for a large investment bank within the Global Finance Services program.
The candidate will join an experienced cross-functional development Scrum team in a distributed Scrum project.
The team is responsible for designing, developing and supporting a synthetic swaps system for trading Total Return Swaps, Synthetic Equity Swaps, Basket Swaps and Contracts for Difference. Project latest initiatives include extending system functionality to support new products and markets, as well as improvement of system scalability and resilience, migration to new technologies.
The system is based on Tomcat backed by Oracle 19c database. Latest versions of Spring, Hibernate.System is onboarding Kafka, Azure and moving to microservices
WebServices are used for communication between a server and a GUI written in C#.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidate will take part in the ongoing development of a heterogeneous distributed synthetic swaps system. Based in Krakow, this individual will join an international distributed team of 4 SCRUM teams.
The team is responsible for designing, developing and supporting a synthetic swaps system for trading Total Return Swaps, Synthetic Equity Swaps, Basket Swaps and Contracts for Difference.
The system is a 24/5 business critical distributed high-loaded application that consists of several back end components written in C# and Java and C# GUI using WebServices to communicate with server components, backed by Oracle 19c database.
Project latest initiatives include extending system functionality to support new products and markets, as well as improvement of system scalability and resilience, migration to new technologies.
SKILLS
MUST
Professional experience with Java Technology
Experience with Spring, Hibernate, SQL
NICE TO HAVE
Experience in TDD or BDD
Experience with WebServices, JMS, Kafka is a plus
Experience in Investment Banking is a big plus
