IT Risk & Control Specialist

Group CIO (IT) Chief Operating Officer (COO) team provides the leadership and operational processes necessary to deliver financial discipline and operating efficiency. It ensures that GCIO has the proper operational policies, controls, and governance, administrative and reporting procedures, communications strategy, and human capital programs in place to effectively grow the organization. It accomplishes this through a process-driven approach guided by the strategic objectives of Group CIO.

The Poland offices are of central importance to Credit Suisse's approach to demonstrating our global talent base and maximizing the efficient use of the bank's resources.

This Regulatory, Audit, Risk & Controls role will report to Team Lead in Warsaw and further to Enterprise & Security Services RAR Manager based in London. The role is pivotal in the ESS RAR team as it ensures deliverables stipulated by GCIO and other centralised processes are provided. The candidate will apply subject matter expertise and process management skills to govern effective controls environment, involving:

• Ensure a robust process is in place to control our risk exposure and promote risk awareness:

o Ensure risks are accepted in highly controlled manner and regularly reviewed

o Improve risk register accuracy

o Create value added reporting

o Drive for proactive risk management

• Support audit engagements:

o Ensure appropriate engagement and accountability from line management on audit related topics

• Controls coordination - coordinate activities for department as required including SOX controls management
• Prepare Reporting, Compliance & Targets Monitoring:

o Produce reports to monitor key departmental processes and targets from Audit & Controls perspective. Provide the Management Team with reasonable assurance in terms of meeting departmental strategic objectives within Controls area.

o Highlight matters which require senior management's attention.

• Provide active support to the operational side of business, keep track of any relevant actions and working with action owners to close action items in adequate tools and systems.
• Create presentations for use in executive meetings with senior management.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of Regulatory, Audit, Risk & Controls processes, frameworks and function in large organizations
• Knowledge of IT security & infrastructure processes
• MS PowerPoint, MS Word & Advanced MS Excel
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to coordinate regional and global teams
• Teamwork and communication/information sharing
• Good knowledge re governance of processes and standards at operational levels
• Must be a self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment
• Proven ability to communicate and influence effectively with senior management
• Excellent written communication skills with ability to develop and deliver presentations with IT content aimed at Executive Board level audiences
• Ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising quality
• Highly organized and excellent attention to details

• Knowledge of Financial / Banking industry, especially back office
• Knowledge of COBIT methodology
• CISA certification is a strong benefit
