Your new role
The Technology Program Management job is accountable for delivery of Technology Programs, Business Change Program, or delivery of a critical Technology-only programs within a Technology Portfolio. This Job manages change initiation, design and delivery and accountable for successful delivery of the program and ensuring benefits realisation.
Your daily duties will include:
- Managing program strategy and the program approach across a series of projects or component activities, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes
- Ensure change programs align to company strategies, in particular Group Data Strategy and contribute towards achieving strategic aims
- Assist business stakeholders with the decomposition of the strategy objectives into outcomes and benefits that can be then translated by the teams into EPIC and user stories
- Delivery, governance & reporting to stakeholders including the Product owner in the business, leadership of a service line or Product within Technology
- Driving the use of the prevailing methodologies within Technology teams (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
- Ensuring that all Change Management practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to within the Program
- Manage program budgets, including headcount and software delivery capitalisation
- Manage negotiation with and management of, and service agreement monitoring of third party contracts with Technology suppliers
- Manage the development and promotion of the delivery portfolio and project management practices
- Work across business and technology to establish effective controls, procedures and quality assurance processes for the product in line with the Business Transformation Framework and Solution Control Framework
What you'll need to succeed
A successful candidate should have experience in the following areas:
- Engaging the program sponsor and stakeholders effectively
- Ensuring governance processes are in place in line with company's Change methodologies and decisions are applied consistently
- Creation of effective program plans to maximise benefits and minimise the risk
- Drives execution against developed plans within constraints, considering the delivery approach, key milestones and dependencies, requirements and scope, effort and resources, budgets and quality in line with the Group change methodologies
- Building positive stakeholder relationships providing regular updates to resolve high priority issues affecting the project
- Ensuring that all Technology Practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to within the Project
- Demonstrates effective financial skills to develop and manage a detailed business case, including investments, detailed benefits and link to overall finances of the business
- Functional line management and budget responsibility for the business case
