The role involves delivering small concurrent projects or contributing to a large project to meet business requirements. Leads low complexity projects for IT, either as the overall Project Manager or managing IT deliveries for a lead project. The job holder will be involved in the delivery of projects from inception to closure and may be responsible for leading a workstream.

The Assistant Project Manager will be part of a project team often comprising of members from across the Global Business / Global Functions to achieve the defined business goal. Where projects are larger and more complex the Assistant Project Manager may also work with a Project Manager to drive the project delivery on time, within budget and to required standards.

The Assistant Project Manager will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of project stakeholders and partners, ranging from engineers, to executives.

Key Accountabilities:
-Project management - Translates business objectives into high level project and programme plans, agrees priorities and sets out roadmap for project delivery.
-Change & implementation management. Defines and plans the end-to-end change approach accurately.
-Encourages and seeks input from other regions to develop more effective and sustainable business outcomes.
-Manages the end-to-end components of the change journey, including defining and implementing the necessary mitigation plan for any risks/issues.
-Managing risk responsibly. Embeds efficient risk and compliance processes and procedures into business as usual practices.
-Risk & issue management. Manages tracking of risks/issues/ dependencies, validating them as they arise in coordination with the programme team; takes ownership for critical issues and ensures resolution within agreed timescales.
-Promotes and manages relevant monitoring and reporting requirements within their team.
-Anticipates and identifies legal, regulatory and compliance risk, ensuring appropriate and timely action is taken to mitigate them
-Managing & leading. Gathers all relevant information from a wide range of resources and MI to clarify the issue at hand and to better inform the decision making process. Effective project mobilisation including activities such as onboarding resources and setting up the Clarity plan
-Demonstrates understanding of analytical tools and techniques to prepare and analyse management reports; identifying factors that are putting the program off track, monitor and share progress with stakeholders.
